The Day of the performance
On the day of the performance I thought that everyone was nervous but excited and ready for our first theatre presentation at the Brit School. Before we performed we had a run through from start to finish as a final rehearsal which went okay but there was some mistakes as we went through it, so that added on to the nervousness because we wanted to get it perfect for when we performed the play "punk rock" in front of our audience so when we finished the rehearsal we had a short break to get ready and to relax before the big performance. So when the time had come for us to show our parents what we have been doing for the first half term at our new school we were exited to show them what we had learnt. They were all sitting round in a big circle around the stage when we first came in at the start of the play, as we performed in front of the audience, I thought it was the best performance by far with no mistakes and with fantastic performances by everyone from start to finish. At the end of the play we went out with a bang, well at least with a very load scream, it was the end of the play. We bowed to our audience and then left the stage with everyone feeling great as it went fantastic.

To be a actor
To be a good actor you have to have great physicality so the audience can believe the character by the physicality of the actors face and the way they move around the stage. They also need to use character status to make the character even more believable. Also you need to have a lot of energy as an actor you have to be ready for anything from taking a step forward or taking a leap forward, and you have to have voice and emotional state when being an actor because you need a load clear voice so that the audience can understand you and so they can tell who your sort of character is whether its an emotional character or not.
What is bad acting
A bad actor is someone who doesn't have energy whilst acting because then you not ready for anything out of the ordinary, its also bad acting if your not working as a team and if you don't understand the character you are playing.
How do I improve
By using new techniques while acting, and learning new skills along the way. Also when you get different sorts of characters whilst doing theatre you can learn new techniques of them and if you get given a character who is similar to the ones you have played before then you can add it to your new character.

Walking and standing in neutral

Doing the walking and standing in neutral exercise really helps when you need to get in a character, for example when you change from you into to your character it could be a complete change therefore making it hard to get into character whereas doing this simple but great exercise it will get you into to character much faster than normal because standing and walking in neutral will establish you character almost straight away.
Hips, shoulders and head
This exercise is really important when being an actor because it will loosen you up and you will be ready for whatever is thrown at you because being an actor you have to be ready for anything.
Leg swings and arm swings

This exercise like the hips, shoulders and head exercise are both very similar for example you need both of these to help you with whatever your doing as a actor even if it is to walk slowly around the stage to taking a massive leap across the stage.
Voice work

Voice work is an essential when being an actor because you may come across all sorts of different characters all with different personalities such as shy and low status or loud and high status, so characters come with different voices. So doing these exercises will help you a lot whether your whispering or screaming.

This exercise is very useful when being an actor because not only do you feel like your character but you now have a better understanding of your character is.
Head, heart and guts

Then by using Head, Heart and guts helped us go into a deeper meaning with are characters.
when trying to find are characters we went through all sorts of different experiments to help us along the way such as finding out what are emotional centres are and also what status levels are characters
